During
the first days of the Kali Yuga,
when the Moon was still bright
and the lotus was not yet a twinkle
in the eye of the Phoenix,
the world began to grow cold
but was not yet empty.
It was
here that he began
to seek for warmth
and a belonging
that would dispel
the emptiness to come.
And so
he looked,
not knowing why,
and came upon his passion.
It held
him tight and taught him stories.
Stories of Water and Fire, Hope and Joy.
For a
time he danced in bliss,
until, exhausted,
he paused.
He saw
his Grace light so little.
Alone he was so very small.
He dropped
to his knees
and cried his prayers to the sky
and the stars joined together
to shine as one.
As his
fear fell,
along with his tears,
he felt the light he had been hiding
and went to rejoin his passion.
So now
he looks,
though in the dark he sometimes wonders why,
and sees the light of others
shining through their untold stories.
He knows
that it is time for the knowing.
It is
time for the healing.
It is
time for Mbongi.
