New TV series Released!

Sound Tracks TV series is released on the web. Series premier is January 25 at 10pm on National PBS. Bay Area sneak peak screening is at the DeYoung Museum's Koret
Auditorium in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park on Friday, Jan. 15, at 7:30 pm.
Sound Tracks - Music Without Borders is a pilot for a new television series about the intersection of Music with life, politics and culture around the world. Hosted by Marco Werman of PRI's The World and created by Steve Talbot and the Talbot Players. Christopher Hedge is the audio supervisor and composer of themes and underscores both in and between the stories. The Magic Shop is the single point of contact for everything audio for the series, including editing, sound design and 5.1 Surround Mixing.

The Magic Shop Opens in Downtown San Francisco!
The Magic Shop is proud to announce our newest facility at Video Arts in San Francisco. This is a full surround ProTools production workstation that's connected directly to our main studios. The new suite is focused on sound design, music production and important services like sweetening, voice editing and more. Our partners at Video Arts represent the highest evolution of High Def post production and it's our pleasure to add audio production to the facility.
Christopher Hedge begins composition for National PBS
"When Worlds Collide"
This new feature documentary will tell the story of the emergence of the Latino culture in the New World. The music will be composed on location in Mexico City, Peru, Bolivia and Spain over the course of Spring 2009. Christopher will be recording in small towns and villages with a unique instrument called a Holophone, capable of capturing 5.1 surround with a single microphone.

Crosby Stills Nash and Young premier Neil Young's new film "CSNY Deja Vu" at Sundance.
The Magic Shop created the soundtrack, sound design and surround pre-mixes for the film. The film closed the Sundance festival with four standing ovations.
